Transforming ADHD Care Through Fun & Science.
Game Therapy
Game therapy is a scientific method to alleviate symptoms of ADHD, such as a short attention span, low compliance with rules, and impatience. It serves users with difficulties in focusing or even those diagnosed with ADHD. Aromatherapy and music therapy are wisely combined with the game to create a multi sensory treatment environment. By connecting to our portable wristband device via Bluetooth, the game can release mixed aromas during specific scenarios and play sound effects at appropriate times.
1. Level One:
The first level involves teleporting between two well decorated huts and distinguishing the differences between their bookshelves. Some operational skill is required since the camera angle is limited. A good position is key to passing this level!
2. Level Two:
In the second level, players will find that all the items initially on the bookshelves are scattered throughout the hut. The task is to reposition them in their original locations. A hidden drawing provides the arrangement in case you don’t remember.
3. Level Three:
The third level challenges the player’s short-term memory. Specifically, it is a card-matching mini game. There are 12 pairs of cards randomly placed on the table. Players select and flip two cards at a time, and they are removed if the patterns match each other.
The therapeutic effects of the game are backed by a scientific essay published on Springer. According to the research by Valerio et al. (2024), the Topological Categories framework has been proven (by increased t-values) to benefit concentration and alleviate other ADHD symptoms. Specialized tests were conducted to assess players’ performance in the game, and the overall results showed a significant improvement. This strongly confirms the game’s excellent effects on ADHD symptoms.

Music Therapy
FocusNow involves both active and passive music therapy. The passive approach employs modified white noise in the background music of the game. White noise in a bandwidth of 65-80 dB can be incorporated into video games to enhance players’ attentional performance better than silence. Active music therapy involves real-time auditory feedback, where correct actions trigger success sounds, while incorrect actions trigger penalty sounds. These sound effects improve both players’ attentional performance and the overall interactivity of the video game.

Wearable wristband for better experience
As you progress through the game, the wristband responds dynamically – celebrating success with confidence-boosting sound effects and reminding the player through a penalty sound after an incorrect action. As mentioned in the “Aromatherapy” part, the wristband releases a soothing essential oil mist when you interact with natural elements like plants and furniture in the game. On the top of the wristband, patients can replenish the pre-mixed essential oil designed for therapeutic use.
